First Aid and CPR Training
About This Curriculum
Our CPR, first aid, and AED course is an OSHA-compliant course that prepares you to recognize and help an adult, child, or infant experiencing a first aid, breathing, or cardiac emergency. Approximately 300,000 people a year experience a cardiac arrest outside of the hospital in the United States. Their hearts stop, and they stop breathing. If no one performs CPR in the first 10 minutes, the chance of survival drops to near zero. Our CPR, first aid, and AED course will give you the information to be prepared to administer CPR when someone’s heart stops. Our class is thorough, yet non-threatening. It will teach you to recognize when someone is in cardiac arrest, how to begin compressions, and provide ventilations. Your intervention can make the difference between survival and certain death. Our course will provide you with the knowledge of the most common injuries and illnesses, including bleeding, stroke, heart attack, diabetic emergencies, and many others. At the completion of our CPR, first aid, and AED course, you will feel equipped to administer the first ten minutes of care to patients experiencing the most common medical and traumatic emergencies. This blended educational course includes an online portion followed by an instructor-led skills test. The online course must be completed to attend the instructor-led skills test. The average online course completion time is 2.5 hours. The average instructor-led skills test completion time is 60 minutes. Upon successful completion of both the online course and instructor-led skills test, you will receive a digital certificate for adult, child, and infant CPR, first aid, and AED. The digital certificate is valid for two years. Please enter at least 2 characters for name.
